Researcher, expert in monitoring, modelling and environmental management. In his research he combines theoretical and experimental research methods, applying them to the environmental domain. His research is integrated with the use of methods based on artistic languages (art-based research) as techniques of environmental education, dissemination and sustainability.

He graduated in physics, specializing in health physics (environmental address), obtaining a PhD in “environment, resources and sustainable development”. He obtained the first academic level diploma in violin, under the guidance of M° Paola Tumeo.

In the year 2017 he was a finalist, with an Italian-Chinese team, of the innovation award “Wege Prize”, banned by the Wege Foundation (Grand Rapids, MI, USA), focused on the circular economy, developing an online simulator of urban circular economy scenarios for the water-energy-food link. In the year 2015 he was the winner of the C.M. Lerici Foundation scholarship for a research period at the KTH in Stockholm. During his period of residence in Sweden he worked as an external consultant at the office of the scientific attaché of the Italian Embassy in Sweden. Since 2015 he has been collaborating with the School of Environment of Beijing Normal University (Beijing, China).

He has been adjunct professor of Principles and Techniques for Environmental Control, Environmental Physics with Laboratory, Atmospheric Physics and Preparation of Educational Experiences at the University of Turin. He was also visiting professor at the Department of Geophysics and Meteorology of the University of Cologne (Germany) funded with ERASMUS – Teaching Staff funds. In 2013, he was co-professor of the violin making course (5 CFU course) of the “G. Verdi State Conservatory of Music” in Turin.

He is Associate Editor of Frontiers in Environmental Informatics. He is a member of the editorial board of “Environmental and Sustainabiltiy Indicators (ELSEVIER).  He has been Guest Editor of “Energy Policy” (ELSEVIER), “Energy” (ELSEVIER), “Energies” (MDPI), “Resouces Conservation & Recycling” (ELSEVIER) and “Journal of Cleaner Production” (ELSEVIER). He’s corresponding member of the Academy of Physiocritics of Siena.

Within the Academy he is speaker of educational seminars dedicated to musical instrument acoustics.
